The QorIQ P1012 and P1021 communications processors offer a high-performance migration path to an all-IP environment for designs using legacy multiprotocol interfaces. The processors deliver efficient multiprotocol processing by integrating the latest QUICC Engine data-plane technology alongside one or two 533-MHz to 1.2-GHz QorIQ cores. The 689-pin wirebond power-BGA packaged processors support T1/E1, xDSL, ATM, HDLC and 10/100/1000 Ethernet. The chips have 36-bit physical addressing, double-precision floating-point support, four multiplexed 3.125-GHz SerDes, two PCI Express controllers, two SGMII interfaces, up to four HDLC interfaces with 128 channels, USB 2.0 HS, a full security engine, and a 32-bit DDR2/DDR3 SDRAM memory controller.
